Top #1 most common Squarespace design mistake
I have designed websites professionally for about 11+ years. With 4000+ Squarespace clients I see quite a lot of websites. Here’s the #1 mistake I see everywhere. P.S. It’s easy to fix!
WHAT IS IT?
The most common mistake is too many characters per line. A good number is between 45-75 with 66 considered ideal. I still often see over 140, or even 200.

WHAT’S THE PROBLEM
A) Research shows too many characters per line makes text difficult to read. Your visitors will stop reading because it takes too much work. We’re lazy. Even if you’re content is great – if your typography is 2/5 people might stop reading.
B) You’ll look like an amateur. And I don’t want you to look like an amateur. I want you to look like a pro. I want you to look awesome, cool and like you know what you’re doing.

OK. HOW TO FIX?
In Squarespace you can add a couple of spacer blocks on both sides of text columns.
You can also use CSS. Simple example would be
.html-block { max-width: 600px; margin:auto; }
YOU SEEM TO KNOW WHAT YOU’RE DOING. CAN I HIRE YOU?
