Info

Do you want to redirect your Calendly users to a custom thank you page, using the free plan of Calendly? This small code snippet will do it for you. You’ll just copy-paste it to your website (video step-by-step tutorial included) and you’re done.

You can redirect without paying an expensive monthly cost.

An added benefit is that this redirect does not generate “unwanted referrers” in GA4. The normal Calendlt redirect will often add calendly.com as a traffic source, although it’s only a detour. This version does not have that issue, because the redirection signal comes from your website, not from within Calendly. So this is in some a way better redirect than what Calendly paid plan provides.

Compatibility

  • Calendly must be embedded as iFrame on your website. This does not if you share a Calendly link, as the redirector code snippet is installed on your website, not to Calendly itself.

  • You must be able to add a small code snippet to your website. For example:

    • Using Google Tag Manager (Best)

    • Use Squarespace’s Code Injection like this

    • Use a plugin like this or this for WordPress

    • Follow these steps for Wix

    • Webflow has Site settings > Custom code, like this

    • Etc. Any platform will work, as long as you can add a code snippet to it.

The Story

Why I created this product

After I figured out how to to conversion tracking for Calendly, using a “secret” JavaScript message Calendly sends from the iFrame to the parent window (our website), I thought that it could be used as a little hack to redirect as well. If the only reason for an upgrade is to redirect, we could just make our own redirector script. People love it, as it’s a one-time payment instead of a monthly subscription.
