New updated version! Squarespace did an update to e-commerce product pages, the first in many years. The Squarespace updated caused an issue with this plugin. I now created an updated version, which works perfectly with the new product page design. See the new video for a demo.

Moving between products is hard in 7.1. To see next product, customer must go back to product grid and click next product. Too much work! They don’t have the patience.

Why did I end up making this product?

I saw a post on Reddit saying Squarespace removed the next and previous product links in 7.1. A successful photographer selling prints in Squarespace 7.1 suddenly stopped getting any sales (!) because people couldn’t easily browse the photographs. I wanted to help, and developed this plugin.

The story proves that you need next / prev -links in your products or you’ll miss out on sales! Better user experience has proven to make more e-commerce sales, and this is the easiest way to improve it.

Requirements & Restrictions

❗This plugin supports up to 200 products per shop page. Squarespace 7.1 can have 10000 products, but after 200 we don’t get the next and previous ones.. If you have multiple shop pages those can each have 200 products.

❗ There are 4 designs for Squarespace 7.1 product pages: Simple. Half, Full & Wrap. Currently, this plugin only supports the Simple design. If you need this plugin for other designs, you can get in touch. It may be possible to make a tailored solution.

❗You need a Squarespace plan, where you are able to copy-paste code.

❗If you use product categories, please note that the next and previous links will go through the list of all products. If a user browses jeans, and clicks on a product, the next and previous links go to the next product in your full product list, which may not be more jeans, if you mix jeans and shirts in your shop.
