You’re in the right place. Below I’ll share a simple way for Acuity to redirect after booking. I also have a very easy-to-use plugin for more advanced ways to redirect Acuity clients after booking.
Update 11 Dec 2022
❗Important ❗
It seems that a new update inside Acuity is making redirects no longer work. For example, the solution from this video is no longer working.
If redirects are not working, check your browser console (right click on page, click inspect, and click console) and see if you get this message
My plugin has been updated, with a workaround for that issue.
Update 24 Oct 2022
Acuity rolled out a new fresh look. You can choose between the classic or new. It’s just a new style. However, if you want to redirect after booking – the new style doesn’t yet have Custom CSS required for the loading spinner.
Hopefully new Acuity client scheduling page soon adds support for CSS. Explained in this video:
Update 16 Sep 2022. Info on smooth transitions + new plugin in this video
It’s a great idea to redirect customers to a custom thank you page. It’s just good business. You could use this for several things like
Instructions for preparing for the appointment
Ask for follows on social media
Directions, Google Maps & Apple Maps -links
Asking to follow you on social media
To upsell more
Built-in way?
There is currently no way to redirect without a custom code snippet. But don’t worry – it’s super easy.
Code snippets
Copy the code to Acuity Scheduling -> Integrations -> Custom Conversions
Simple version —Redirect all appointments to the same page
❗ Code below no longer works after Acuity update on Dec 12 2022.
If you need redirects, get my redirection plugin. It has an update.
Advanced version —Redirect different appointment types to different pages with custom features
Improving the user experience
I recommend the following settings to reduce messiness and improve the user experience. You can edit these in Customize Appearance -> Scheduling Page Options
Disable Show "Schedule another Appointment" button.
If you’re redirecting, they can’t schedule another appointment so it’s just going to make the flash of the last scheduling page look messier without any use.Disable Show QR Code on Confirmation Page
Same reason.Consider Disabling Client Log in & Registration
It’ll make things cleaner. If you have mostly recurring clients, it might be a bad idea.
Loading spinner
I also heavily encourage adding a loading spinner. Compare the experience without a loading spinner and without one.
❗️Note that I added a delay in the videos to illustrate the difference in UX. The redirect is actually faster 🚀
No loading spinner ☹️
Feels glitchy and weird.
Has a loading spinner 😍
Feels smooth, pro, intuitive ❤️
Why loading spinner is a must?
Without a loading spinner the UX (user experience) seems glitchy and buggy. The redirect takes about 0.2 seconds to kick in. If there is no loading spinner, the user will start reading a page that’s going to disappear trying to figure out what to do. Then they’ll be surprised by the sudden redirect. Bad. You want to add a loading spinner to create the unconscious feeling that the user should just chill and wait for something to happen instead of starting to figure out how to interact on a page that’s just gonna disappear.

❓How to redirect different appointment types to different pages
Again, this can be achieved with my new plugin. Super easy to use, just follow the step-by-step video and copy-paste the code to Acuity.
